Our commitment

Caturus is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable accessibility laws. We want every visitor, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology, to be able to read about the Commonwealth LNG expansion and reach the project team.

Conformance target

Our goal is for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We also adopt WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria where practical.

What we have done

• Semantic page structure with one main heading per page, ordered section headings, landmark regions, and a "Skip to content" link.
• Every page, menu, and control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Text alternatives for informative images, captions for figures and maps, and header cells on data tables.
• Text and background colors designed to meet or exceed the WCAG contrast minimums, with pages that remain readable when text is resized to 200 percent.
• Links that open a new tab or download a file say so to screen reader users.
• No auto-playing media, flashing content, or time limits, and smooth scrolling is turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• A responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and desktop screens.

Known limitations

• Fact sheet PDF. The downloadable fact sheet may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need its content in another format, contact us and we will provide it.
• Orientation map. The map on the Operations page is embedded from OpenStreetMap, a third-party service we do not control. It is provided for orientation only; the site location is also described in text and in captioned images on the same page.
• Placeholder figures. Some figures on the site are marked "TBD" while the project team confirms them. Each carries its label so that assistive technology reads the placeholder in context.

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, find content that is not accessible, or need information in an alternative format such as large print or accessible electronic text, please tell us. We aim to respond within five business days.

Technical information

This website is built with standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and does not rely on plug-ins. It is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver, and with browser zoom and operating system text-size settings. JavaScript is used only for the mobile menu and the footer year; all content and navigation remain available without it.

How we assess accessibility

We evaluate this website through internal review of its markup and styles against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, keyboard-only and screen reader walkthroughs, and automated checks. Accessibility is reviewed whenever content or design changes. This statement was last reviewed on September 23, 2026.
